A residential disaster management training program, organized for Scout and Guide youth under the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has successfully concluded in Madhepur, Madhubani district. The primary objective of this training was to prepare young individuals as first responders in emergency situations, thereby minimizing loss of life and property during any disaster.

Cadets aged between 18 and 40 years participated in the training. They were imparted crucial skills such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), boat operation, and road safety. Upon completion of the training, all participants received a disaster response kit, which included a first aid box, safety helmet, life jacket, and torch. Furthermore, all trained cadets were provided with a 3-year life insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.

In the examination held at the end of the training, cadets from Madhubani district demonstrated exceptional performance. Rahul Kumar from Sundar Birajit Panchayat, Manoj Kumar Singh from Balansher, and Kunal Jha from Hatni secured positions in the top ten across the entire state of Bihar. They were honored with medals for their outstanding achievement. Keshav Kumar Singh, the Madhubani District Organizing Commissioner, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the successful trainees on this significant accomplishment. This training marks a crucial step towards strengthening disaster management capabilities in the region.
