Residents of Madhepura district have finally found relief from the scorching heat that had prevailed for the past few days. A significant drop in maximum temperatures has been recorded, making the weather pleasant. According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, there is a high probability of rain and thunderstorms in the district for the next five days. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in some areas during this period, which is likely to bring down temperatures further.

Dr. Sunil Kumar, a meteorologist from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Madhepura, stated that the district will remain cloudy for the next five days, from July 8th to July 12th. During this period, 5 to 10 millimeters of rainfall is expected daily. The maximum temperature is predicted to range between 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 25 to 27 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds are also expected to be higher than usual, blowing at 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. Humidity levels are anticipated to be between 80 to 90 percent.

Dr. Kumar has issued special advisories for farmers and livestock owners. Given the risk of lightning strikes, farmers are advised to exercise extra caution while working in the fields. Livestock owners are also recommended not to send their animals for grazing in open areas, especially when there is lightning. Additionally, farmers who have not yet transplanted paddy are advised to complete this task as soon as possible after the rain, as the current weather conditions are considered favorable for paddy cultivation.
