Madhepura district residents are set to benefit from the launch of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) service. This new service has already reached 3100 homes, providing a direct pipeline gas supply. This initiative aligns with the central government's ambitious plan to deliver affordable and safe energy to every household across the nation.

The introduction of PNG gas offers significant advantages to consumers, primarily its cost-effectiveness. PNG is estimated to be approximately ₹23 per kilogram cheaper than traditional LPG cylinders, offering substantial savings to households, especially amidst rising LPG prices. This directly reduces the financial burden on common citizens.

From a safety perspective, PNG is a superior alternative. The direct pipeline delivery significantly minimizes the risks associated with cylinder explosions or gas leaks. Moreover, consumers will no longer face the inconvenience of booking cylinders, waiting for deliveries, or exchanging empty ones. This ensures a continuous and uninterrupted gas supply.

The project is being implemented rapidly, with plans to connect more homes within the next 10-15 days. It is anticipated that most urban and suburban areas of Madhepura will eventually be integrated into the PNG network, allowing a larger population to benefit from this service. This move not only enhances energy security but also promotes environmental well-being, as PNG is a cleaner fuel.
