The Transport Department in Madhepura district headquarters conducted a special vehicle inspection drive, resulting in significant action against traffic violators. The extensive check focused on e-rickshaws, autos, bikes, and other passenger vehicles. During the drive, fines totaling ₹1 lakh were collected from drivers found violating traffic regulations.

The campaign was initiated on the instructions of the District Transport Officer and was carried out from morning at various squares, intersections, and main roads across the city. The inspection team specifically checked for overloading, driving without helmets and seatbelts, valid driving licenses, vehicle documents, pollution control certificates, and insurance validity. Many e-rickshaw and auto drivers were caught operating without valid documents and permits.

Transport department officials stated that such campaigns would be conducted regularly to ensure compliance with road safety rules and reduce road accidents. They urged vehicle owners and drivers to always carry valid driving licenses and essential vehicle documents and strictly adhere to traffic laws. Strict action will continue against those driving without proper documents and violating traffic rules. The objective of this campaign is to raise awareness about traffic regulations and ensure safe travel for everyone.
