Shivhar: A young man was brutally beaten to death in Shivhar district, Bihar, after he went to meet his girlfriend. The incident occurred late Wednesday night when Lalan Kumar, son of Bharat Sah from Amba Utari, was caught by locals and severely assaulted with sticks, rods, and other objects, leading to his demise on the spot.

The tragic event unfolded when Lalan Kumar discreetly visited his girlfriend's house. Some neighbors became aware of his presence, surrounded him, and began a brutal assault. Lalan succumbed to his injuries. The news of his death spread quickly, casting a pall of silence over the village, and his family is in deep shock and grief.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from Piprahi Police Station immediately arrived at the scene. The police took the body into custody and sent it to Shivhar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. In-charge SDPO Ishani Sinha confirmed the incident. Piprahi Station House Officer Umakant Singh stated that preliminary investigations suggest the case is related to a love affair. Police are actively investigating to identify and apprehend all involved culprits, assuring that no accused will be spared. The police are trying to ascertain whom Lalan had gone to meet and under what circumstances the dispute escalated so violently. The victim's family has demanded the swift arrest of all involved in the murder.
