In a significant operation in Mohania, Kaimur district, police successfully rescued 30 cattle from animal smugglers. The incident occurred near the Integrated Check Post in Mohania, where police, acting on a tip-off, intercepted and seized a container. Inside, 30 cattle were found crammed together in a cruel manner, being transported with the intent of smuggling.

The Mohania police team achieved this success as part of a special drive initiated under the directives of the Superintendent of Police. During a routine inspection of vehicles at the Integrated Check Post, a suspicious container was stopped. Upon searching the container, police discovered the shocking sight of animals inhumanely piled on top of each other, posing a severe risk to their lives.

Four animal smugglers were arrested in connection with the incident. They are currently being interrogated to uncover other members of the gang and their network. Police suspect that this syndicate has been involved in cattle smuggling for a considerable period. The rescued cattle have been moved to a safe location, and their health is being monitored.

Police have registered a case under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and other relevant sections. This action has dealt a major blow to cattle smuggling gangs operating in the region. Local residents have applauded the police's swift response, and authorities have assured that the crackdown on cattle smuggling will continue, with no offenders spared.
