On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a special program was organized at Venuvan in the tourist city of Rajgir, Nalanda. During the event, Nalanda MP Kaushalendra Kumar tied rakhis and protective threads to trees, conveying an important message of environmental protection. He raised awareness among the attendees about the importance of protecting trees and forest resources, and administered an oath of environmental conservation to everyone present.

MP Kaushalendra Kumar stated that the festival of Raksha Bandhan symbolizes the strong bond between brothers and sisters and a lifelong commitment to protection. He emphasized that environmental protection is also a crucial responsibility in the current era. He highlighted that trees and plants not only keep the environment clean but are also essential for human life. For this reason, on this Raksha Bandhan, rakhis were tied to trees to pledge their safety and conservation.

The MP described forest wealth as our invaluable heritage and declared its conservation as everyone's duty. He warned that continuous damage to trees and forests could lead to severe environmental problems for future generations. He appealed to the residents of Rajgir to plant more trees and ensure their regular care. Additionally, he urged the general public to make environmental protection a mass movement.

During the program, all attendees collectively pledged to protect trees by tying protective threads and to safeguard the environment.
