A 13-year-old boy, Sanjeev Kumar, son of Ratnesh Kumar Mandal, a resident of Dharhara Ward 4 of Singiyan Panchayat, died after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Saturday. The incident occurred on the Murliganj-Bihariganj SH 91 main road in the Murliganj police station area of Madhepura district.

According to information, Sanjeev was on his way to Prasadi Chowk on his bicycle to fetch household items when an unknown vehicle struck him near Kathautia Mor. The teenager sustained severe injuries in the accident. Local residents rushed him to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Murliganj, where Dr. Mukesh Kumar declared him dead after examination. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Station House Officer Pramod Kumar stated that the body has been sent to Madhepura Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to trace the unidentified vehicle and its driver. The tragic death has plunged Sanjeev's family into grief, and a pall of sorrow has descended upon the entire village.
