A dispute over playing a DJ during a Kalash Shobhayatra in Asthawan police station area of Nalanda district escalated into violence, resulting in firing and sword fighting. Five people were injured in the clash; one sustained a gunshot wound, while four others were injured by swords.

The incident caused chaos in the area, and all the injured were admitted to a hospital in Biharsharif for treatment. According to eyewitnesses, an argument erupted between two groups regarding the DJ during the procession, which quickly turned into a violent confrontation. Allegedly, firing took place during the clash, injuring one person with a bullet. Simultaneously, sword fighting also occurred, leading to injuries for four others.

Upon receiving information, Asthawan police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the dispute and identify those involved in the incident. Asthawan Station House Officer Satyam Kumar Chandravanshi stated that no written complaint has been received from either party yet. Further action will be taken as per rules once a complaint is filed. Police are also gathering information from local residents regarding the incident.
