The original building of the Onda Additional Primary Health Center (PHC) in Asthawan block, Nalanda district, is in a dilapidated condition and is no longer fit for use. Approximately six years ago, the hospital's operations were shifted to the local Panchayat Bhavan, from where health services are currently being provided to patients.

A letter has been sent to the concerned department regarding the provision of land and the transfer of the premises for the construction of a new, well-equipped hospital building. According to the official report, all necessary administrative formalities at the departmental level are in their final stages. The actual construction work for the new building will commence immediately after these formalities are completed.

The Health Department has assured that to prevent any inconvenience to patients, health services are being regularly operated from the Panchayat Bhavan. Administrative actions are continuously underway to expedite the construction process of the new hospital building. The district administration has clarified that providing better health facilities to the people of the area is their top priority. The construction of the new building will lead to the development of modern facilities, directly benefiting patients from Asthawan and surrounding rural areas with safer and improved medical services.
