Nalanda. To realize the Chief Minister's resolve to make Bihar completely drug-free, de-addiction awareness and oath-taking programs were organized on Monday at all three Jeevika offices in Asthawan block – Sare, Benar, and Asthawan. During these events, Jeevika Didis (women self-help group members) and Brahma Kumari sisters collectively pledged to build a drug-free society.

Brahma Kumari Priyanka, director of the Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya's Asthawan service center, stated that these programs were organized under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bihar government and Jeevika. Various activities were conducted at all three offices to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse.

At Sare, Jeevika Didis and Brahma Kumari sisters held an awareness rally and morning procession. Carrying inspiring slogans and placards related to de-addiction, groups of women visited villages and localities, conveying the message to stay away from drugs and make their families and society drug-free.

In Benar, a special cluster-level meeting was held at the Jeevika office. Discussions focused on how drug addiction shatters families, weakens economic conditions, and negatively impacts the social environment. Speakers emphasized that one person's drug habit can push an entire family to the brink of ruin, urging women to step forward and lead this social change, taking the de-addiction campaign to every individual.

At all three Jeevika offices, including Asthawan, attendees took a collective oath to stay away from drugs themselves and to keep their families and society free from all forms of addiction. Jeevika Didis pledged to fulfill the vision of a drug-free Bihar and transform this campaign into a mass movement. The program saw the presence of Chief Guest BPM Gaurav Kumar, Brahma Kumar and Brahma Kumari sisters, project managers, regional and community coordinators, Jeevika Didis, and local dignitaries. The objective was to spread the message of de-addiction, increase women's participation, and build a healthy and safe society.
