A shocking incident of rape of a minor girl and subsequent viral circulation of her objectionable video on social media has come to light in Nalanda district, Bihar. Police have initiated swift action following a complaint filed by the victim's mother in the Chandi police station area. The incident has caused widespread outrage in the region.

According to the police, the incident occurred in a village within the Chandi police station jurisdiction. The victim's mother registered an FIR against a person from the Nagarnausa police station area. The accused is reportedly a business partner of the victim's mother. She had been running a cattle fodder company since 2022, and the accused was her partner, frequently visiting their home. During this period, the accused allegedly befriended the victim, lured her, and committed the rape.

It is alleged that the accused also created objectionable videos and pictures during the assault. Subsequently, he continuously exploited the minor, threatening to circulate these videos and images. When the victim resisted, she was subjected to physical assault and death threats if she informed her family. This fear prevented the victim from disclosing the ordeal to her family for a long time.

The family only became aware of the full extent of the matter recently when the accused allegedly circulated the videos and pictures on social media. Following this, the victim's mother filed an FIR at Chandi police station. Police registered the complaint and conducted a medical examination of the victim at Sadar Hospital on Monday. Chandi Station House Officer Akhilesh Kumar Jha stated that an FIR has been registered, and police are actively pursuing the case, with raids underway to apprehend the accused.
