Nishant Kumar, a 20-year-old resident of Seema village, Silao police station area in Nalanda district, has been missing since August 30. Nishant had accompanied his mother, Manju Devi, to Biharsharif. On their return journey, he disappeared from the bus near Chora Bagicha in the Deepnagar police station area. His family searched extensively until September 4 without any success, prompting them to appeal to the public for help through the media.

Manju Devi, Nishant's mother, stated that they had gone to Biharsharif for some work. On their way back, she disembarked the bus near Chora Bagicha in the Deepnagar police station area to get water. When she returned to the bus, Nishant was no longer there. Since then, there has been no trace of him. The family has inquired in nearby areas, with relatives, and acquaintances, but to no avail.

According to the family, Nishant's mental health has not been stable for the past six years. He had previously left home twice but returned on his own. The family initially tried to file a complaint at Silao police station but was advised to register it at the police station where Nishant went missing. As per the family, a written complaint has not yet been filed at Deepnagar police station. Nishant is 20 years old, has a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and half-pants.
