A section of the National Highway (Expressway) passing through Chhapiya gram panchayat in Bhatpar Rani tehsil has been severely damaged due to heavy rainfall. Near Chhapiya village, the soil from the side of the road has washed away, hollowing out the road from underneath and posing a significant risk of a major accident. This National Highway connects Bihar to Uttar Pradesh and is known as the Expressway.

With the soil completely removed from beneath, the upper surface of the road has become extremely weak. Local residents fear that if any heavy vehicle passes over this damaged section, the road could collapse, leading to a serious accident. Gram Pradhan of Chhapiya, Deepak Rajak, along with other villagers, has urged the concerned authorities to take immediate notice of this critical situation and carry out urgent repairs. They emphasized that this road is vital for thousands of people, and neglecting its condition could prove fatal.

Villagers expressed their deep concern, stating that the situation is extremely dangerous and needs immediate rectification. Several other villagers, including Mohit, Suresh, Amjad, Phulena, and Rishi, were also present, highlighting their worries about the poor state of the road. Attempts were made to contact Deepak Dhool, the head of the National Highway, but he could not be reached as his mobile number was unavailable.
