Two cyber criminals involved in defrauding people of crores of rupees by impersonating finance companies have been arrested in Nawada district. The arrests were made under the direction of Superintendent of Police Abhinav Dhiman. The police action took place in Parvati village, under the Shahpur police station in the Kashi Chak block.

Shahpur Station House Officer (SHO) Ashutosh Pandey led the raid that apprehended the two accused. According to the police, the arrested individuals used the names of various finance companies, including Reliance Finance, Bajaj Finance, and Islamic Finance, to deceive people. Upon receiving intelligence about the cyber fraud, SHO Pandey promptly launched an investigation and led the raid.

When the police arrived at the scene, the suspects attempted to flee but were surrounded and apprehended. The arrested individuals have been identified as Shankar Kumar, son of Dilip Rajak, and Nitish Kumar, son of Ranjan Kumar. Police stated that Nitish Kumar hails from Nalanda district, while both were operating their cyber fraud activities from Parvati village. During the raid, police recovered four mobile phones and several data sheets from the accused. Authorities suspect these devices and data were used to cheat a large number of people under the guise of providing loans.

SHO Ashutosh Pandey affirmed that police operations against cyber criminals operating in Nawada from other districts would continue. Interrogations of the arrested individuals are ongoing to gather information about others involved in this cyber fraud network. Police revealed that these criminals would send links to victims, promising loans, then hack their mobile phones to commit fraud.
