A land dispute in Dariyapur village, under the Warisaliganj police station area of Nawada district, allegedly escalated into violence, leading to the death of Menu Mahto, approximately 30 years old. Krishna Mahto, the deceased's father, claims that a dispute had been ongoing with certain individuals over about 5 decimal of land adjacent to their house. When they began constructing a boundary wall on the said land, the opposing party allegedly attacked them with sticks and batons. Menu Mahto sustained severe injuries in the assault and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Upon hearing the news of Menu Mahto's demise, his family and villagers were engulfed in anger. They placed his body on the Warisaliganj-Kharat main road near Dariyapur village, blocking traffic. The Warisaliganj police, upon receiving the information, promptly arrived at the scene. Station House Officer Pankaj Kumar Saini engaged in discussions with the family and villagers, attempting to pacify them and clear the road blockade.

Krishna Mahto has demanded immediate arrest and stringent action against the culprits from the police, asserting that his son's death was a direct result of the beating. Menu Mahto leaves behind his wife, a child, and his parents. The SHO has assured that all angles of the case are being investigated, and appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty. Police forces have been deployed in the village, which remains tense, to monitor the situation closely.
