Kurtha, Correspondent. The Bihar Bandh called by AISA, RYA, and CPI (ML) on Saturday, protesting police action against student movements and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saw a significant impact in Kurtha. Activists toured the market area, appealing to shopkeepers and vehicle drivers to support the shutdown. Commercial establishments were closed, leading to many shops remaining shut. The operation of buses, tempos, and other vehicles was also affected.

During the bandh, public meetings were organized at various locations including Vidrohi Chowk, Main Market, and Bus Stand. Addressing the gathering, CPI (ML) leader Awadhesh Yadav stated that the agitation would continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns over the NEET paper leak case. He strongly criticized the police action during student protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and Patna, terming it a suppression of democratic rights.

Mahesh Yadav, Block Secretary of CPI (ML), demanded the unconditional release of all students arrested during the protests and the withdrawal of cases filed against demonstrators. He also called for an impartial investigation into the police action and punitive measures against दोषी officials. The meeting was also addressed by farmer leader Rajeshwari Yadav, youth leader Randhir Paswan, Sagar Kumar, Satendra Das, Abhay Kumar, and other speakers. The speakers emphasized that the movement on issues related to students and youth would continue in the future.
