Preparations for new delimitation of Panchayats have commenced in Bihar, with the State Election Commission initiating the process. This exercise is expected to lead to an increase in the number of Panchayats in several blocks across the state. Specifically, in Siswan block of Siwan district, the number of Panchayats is projected to rise from the current 13 to over 20.
