Purnia MP Pappu Yadav visited Suryapura village in Patna district's Athmalgola police station area on Wednesday. He met with the family of Aman Kumar, who has been missing since September 13, and assured them of all possible help. Aman's family had filed a police complaint fearing abduction, but the youth remains untraced.

After meeting the family, Pappu Yadav spoke to the media, stating that he would discuss the police investigation with SDPO-2 regarding Aman's case. He added that if necessary, he would also speak with the DGP and provide all possible assistance in finding Aman. Villagers had previously expressed anger over Aman's disappearance, blocking the Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama four-lane highway for about three hours on September 19.

MP Pappu Yadav also criticized the state government and local police administration. He alleged that criminal incidents are continuously increasing in the state, and the administrative machinery has failed to fulfill its responsibilities. He expressed concern over the safety of common people, especially sons and daughters, while accusing the government of shying away from its responsibilities. Yadav claimed that leaders and criminals are carefree in the state, while ordinary citizens are troubled. He mentioned that he had already met the Governor and submitted a memorandum regarding the rising crime rates.
