Undergraduate classes have officially commenced at the Government Degree College in Patahi, East Champaran district. This college, long awaited as a center for higher education, has now opened a new chapter for students. On the first day, 15 students enrolled in various subjects. The college administration announced that initially, regular classes would be conducted for six subjects: Hindi, English, History, Political Science, Economics, and Psychology.

The college principal informed that all necessary arrangements have been made for the convenience of students. The process of appointing teachers is also underway to ensure smooth conduct of classes. Currently, studies have begun with the available teachers and resources. He emphasized that this initiative would provide local students with the opportunity to pursue higher education close to home, eliminating the need to travel to distant cities. This step is expected to play a significant role in elevating the standard of education in the region.
