More than one lakh Kanwariyas and devotees offered water at the ancient Baba Darveshwarnath Dham Shiva temple in Dabhaich, Patepur, on the second Monday of Shraavan. The entire area resonated with chants of 'Bolbam' and 'Har Har Mahadev'. From Sunday morning, groups of 'Dak Kanwariyas' from Patepur block and surrounding border areas began departing in vehicles towards Pahleja Ghat.

Kanwariyas started arriving at the temple between 1 AM and 2 AM. For the 'jalabhishek' (offering of water), the temple gates were opened after the daily puja of Baba Bholenath in the Brahma Muhurta. Anticipating a large crowd on the second Monday, extensive security arrangements were made by the local Tisiauta Police Station. Both male and female police personnel were deployed at the temple's entry and exit points, as well as throughout the fairground. The 'jalabhishek', which began late at night, continued until evening.
