The Pathahi Police in East Champaran district recently conducted a significant operation, leading to the arrest of 18 individuals. Among those apprehended are four individuals who were wanted on warrants and 14 others caught consuming alcohol, violating the state's prohibition law. All arrested individuals have been sent to judicial custody after completing necessary legal procedures.

According to police sources, the Pathahi police station has been actively conducting campaigns to control crime and maintain law and order within its jurisdiction. During these operations, the four wanted individuals, who had been absconding for a long time and were involved in various criminal activities, were identified and apprehended. Their arrest is expected to strengthen law enforcement in the area.

Furthermore, 14 people were arrested for violating Bihar's total liquor prohibition law. They were found consuming alcohol, a direct breach of the state's excise act. Cases have been registered against all of them under relevant sections. Since the implementation of prohibition in Bihar, the police have been taking strict action against those involved in drinking and selling alcohol.

Officials from Pathahi police station stated that all 18 arrested accused were produced before the court and subsequently sent to judicial custody. The police affirmed that such operations would continue in the future to maintain peace and curb crime in the region, creating a deterrent effect among criminals and those who consume alcohol.
