A horrific head-on collision between a speeding truck and an auto-rickshaw occurred on Thursday morning in the Panchrukhiya police station area of Patna. The tragic road accident resulted in the spot death of a mother and daughter who were passengers in the auto, while three other occupants sustained serious injuries. Local residents promptly initiated rescue efforts, rushing the injured to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.

According to reports, the auto-rickshaw was transporting passengers towards Patna on Thursday morning when it was struck by an oncoming high-speed truck. The impact was so severe that the auto was completely mangled, leading to cries of distress from its occupants. The identities of the deceased mother and daughter have not yet been ascertained.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Panchrukhiya police immediately arrived at the scene. The police took custody of both bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. The damaged truck and auto were removed from the road to restore normal traffic flow. The SDPO of Patna Sadar-2 confirmed the accident, stating that two people died and three were injured. The police have impounded both vehicles and initiated an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that overspeeding was the primary cause of the accident.
