Motihari. The Champaran Parivartan Mahotsav (Champaran Transformation Festival) was organized on Sunday at Gandhi Auditorium. Addressing the event, MP and former Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Radhamohan Singh, stated that this festival is not just an event, but a symbol of new thinking, new resolutions, and a collective effort towards building a developed Champaran. He emphasized that the development of Champaran should not be considered solely the responsibility of the government or a single institution, but rather a public participation campaign.

Referring to Champaran's glorious history, the MP noted that it was from this historic land that Mahatma Gandhi gave a new direction to India's freedom movement through Satyagraha. He urged that it is now time to draw inspiration from this legacy and pledge to build a modern, self-reliant, and developed Champaran. Radhamohan Singh clarified that transformation does not merely mean a change in the system, but bringing positive change in the lives of common people. He spoke about taking Champaran to new heights through continuous development in sectors like education, health, agriculture, employment, basic facilities, tourism, and the local economy.

He mentioned the country's progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, stating that Bihar and Champaran have a crucial role in realizing the vision of a developed India. The MP stressed the need to preserve Champaran's historical, cultural, and natural heritage while connecting it with new opportunities for development and tourism.
