Rahui police in Nalanda district have successfully apprehended a bike thief during a routine vehicle inspection drive. The operation took place near Dehra Bridge, where a stolen motorcycle was also recovered. This achievement comes as part of a special vehicle inspection campaign launched under the directives of the Superintendent of Police.

According to available information, the Rahui police station area has been conducting continuous inspection drives to control crime and curb vehicle theft incidents. During one such drive near Dehra Bridge, a police team was conducting thorough checks of vehicles. A suspicious individual attempted to pass through with a motorcycle. Upon seeing the police, he panicked and tried to flee, raising the suspicion of the officers.

The police team promptly surrounded and caught the suspect. When asked for the motorcycle's documents, he failed to provide a satisfactory response. During intense interrogation, he confessed that the motorcycle was stolen. Subsequently, the police took him into custody and seized the motorcycle.

The Rahui Station House Officer stated that the arrested thief is being interrogated to uncover other theft cases and identify other members of his gang. He also mentioned that the police are continuously active in curbing vehicle theft incidents in the district, and such campaigns will continue in the future. This arrest is expected to help curb theft incidents in the area. The police administration has also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
