In a significant move to enforce the complete prohibition law in Bihar, a large quantity of seized liquor was destroyed at the Rajpur Police Station premises in Buxar district on Monday. Following all legal procedures and in the presence of a magistrate, a total of 1698.17 liters of both country-made and foreign liquor were destroyed.

Station House Officer (SHO) Niwas Kumar stated that the police had seized this liquor in 12 different cases registered at the Rajpur Police Station. The destruction was carried out in accordance with the rules, after receiving directives from the court and relevant departments. He further added that the police are continuously conducting campaigns to make the prohibition law effective and are taking strict action against those involved in the illegal liquor trade.

The entire process of liquor destruction was completed in the presence of Circle Officer Narendra Kumar Singh, who was present as the magistrate. Under his supervision, the seized liquor was matched, and after fulfilling all necessary legal formalities, it was destroyed. The SHO emphasized that the police's objective is not only to recover liquor but also to ensure the timely and transparent disposal of seized intoxicants. He appealed to the general public to immediately inform the police if they receive any information about the manufacturing, sale, or trafficking of illegal liquor, assuring that the identity of the informant would be kept confidential. Several police officers and personnel from Rajpur Police Station were also present on this occasion.
