In Kishanganj, workers of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) staged a protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Friday at the party's office located in Subhash Palli, Kishanganj city. During the demonstration, activists chanted slogans and burnt an effigy of the Chief Election Commissioner. The protest was led by RJD District President and former MLA Anjar Naimi.

During the protest, RJD leaders and workers expressed their displeasure over the functioning of the Election Commission. Anjar Naimi stated that the Election Commission plays a crucial role in a democracy, and its responsibility is to maintain public trust. He alleged that the commission's recent actions have raised several doubts among political parties and the general public.

Naimi emphasized that the electoral process should be completely transparent and impartial. RJD leaders demanded that the Election Commission treat all political parties equally and avoid any form of bias. Protesters urged the commission to make its operations more transparent and provide clear answers to the questions being raised. Workers held banners and placards to express their dissent.

RJD leaders stressed that for the strengthening of democratic institutions, it is essential for them to function impartially and independently. They added that this would maintain the trust of political parties and voters in these institutions. Several RJD officials, including Dr. Noor Alam, Rehan Ahmed, Khurshid Alam, Shahid Rabbani, and Mazharul Haque, along with a large number of workers, participated in the protest. The demonstration concluded peacefully, with RJD leaders vowing to continue raising their voices for the protection of democratic values.
