समस्तीपुर जिले के रोसड़ा अनुमंडल अंतर्गत रहुआ पंचायत के वार्ड संख्या 9 से 12 को जोड़ने वाली मुख्य सड़क की बदहाली ने स्थानीय निवासियों की मुश्किलें बढ़ा दी हैं। यह सड़क लंबे समय से जर्जर अवस्था में है, जिसके कारण लोगों को आवागमन में भारी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। सड़क पर बड़े-बड़े गड्ढे बन गए हैं, जिससे आए दिन छोटे-मोटे हादसे होते रहते हैं। बारिश के मौसम में स्थिति और भी भयावह हो जाती है, जब गड्ढों में पानी भर जाने से सड़क तालाब का रूप ले लेती है और पैदल चलना भी मुश्किल हो जाता है।
स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि यह सड़क रहुआ पंचायत के कई महत्वपूर्ण इलाकों को जोड़ती है और हजारों की आबादी प्रतिदिन इस मार्ग से गुजरती है। स्कूल जाने वाले बच्चे, किसान और बाजार जाने वाले लोग सभी इस जर्जर सड़क से प्रभावित हैं। आपातकालीन स्थिति में एम्बुलेंस या अन्य वाहनों का गुजरना भी दूभर हो जाता है, जिससे मरीजों को समय पर अस्पताल पहुंचने में कठिनाई होती है।
ग्रामीणों ने कई बार स्थानीय प्रशासन और जनप्रतिनिधियों से इस सड़क की मरम्मत के लिए गुहार लगाई है, लेकिन अभी तक कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं हुई है। उनका कहना है कि चुनाव के समय नेता बड़े-बड़े वादे करते हैं, लेकिन चुनाव जीतने के बाद सड़कों की बदहाली पर ध्यान नहीं देते। उन्होंने प्रशासन से जल्द से जल्द इस सड़क की मरम्मत कराने की मांग की है ताकि लोगों को आवागमन में हो रही परेशानियों से निजात मिल सके और क्षेत्र का विकास हो सके। यदि जल्द ही इस दिशा में कोई कदम नहीं उठाया गया तो ग्रामीण आंदोलन करने पर विवश होंगे।

They demand immediate repair of the road to alleviate their suffering and foster regional development. Failure to act promptly may force them to resort to protests.
