Buxar: The 45th installation ceremony of the Rotary Club, Buxar, was held on Tuesday evening in a dignified atmosphere at Ashirwad Banquet Hall. The event coincided with the official visit of Rotarian Anu Narang, Governor of Rotary International District 3250.

During the ceremony, Rotarian Nirmal Kumar Singh assumed the presidency of Rotary Club Buxar for the 2026-27 term. Sagar Verma took charge as President of Rotaract Club Buxar, and Harshita as President of Interact Club Buxar. The program commenced with an inauguration by District Governor Anu Narang, former District Governor Rotarian Sandeep Narang, Assistant District Governor T.N. Choubey, newly elected President Nirmal Kumar Singh, and other distinguished guests. The club's annual souvenir, 'Sarthak,' was also released on this occasion.

Chief Guest Rotarian Anu Narang lauded the Rotary Club Buxar for its significant contributions to social service. She highlighted key achievements such as the Rotary Saheli Center, Rotary Jagdish Eye Hospital in Dumraon, the dialysis center at Methodist Hospital in Pratap Sagar, and the blood bank established in Buxar. Assistant District Governor T.N. Choubey emphasized the need to open two Happy Schools and an eye hospital in the district to provide better facilities to the general public.

In his address, newly elected President Nirmal Kumar Singh pledged to advance service projects that offer long-term benefits to society. He announced that the Rotary Club would expand its activities to rural areas alongside urban centers. Special emphasis will be placed on health check-up camps, development of government schools, providing books, bags, and bicycles to underprivileged children, youth encouragement, and extensive tree plantation drives for environmental protection. Nine new members, including Dr. Prashant Chaturvedi and Dr. Anjali Pandey, joined the club, bringing the total membership to 86.
