The Saran District Child Protection Unit has invited applications for the recruitment of 20 Assistant Personnel (Assistant Worker) positions. The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to November 28, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications at the District Child Protection Unit office located in Chapra.

This recruitment will be conducted under the guidelines of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Bihar, and the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. Out of the total 20 posts, 5 are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 3 for Scheduled Tribes, 4 for Backward Classes, 4 for Extremely Backward Classes, and 4 for the Unreserved category.

Applicants must hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field. Candidates with experience in child protection, child welfare, child rights, and juvenile justice will be given preference during the selection process. The age of the applicant should be between 30 and 65 years as of July 1, 2026.

Selected candidates will receive an honorarium of 9,000 rupees per month. Applicants must be citizens of India and residents of Saran district. They must also have a clean record and not have been convicted in any criminal case. Self-attested photocopies of essential documents, including educational qualifications, work experience, caste, and residential certificates, must be submitted along with the application. Selection will be based on academic qualifications and an interview conducted by the selection committee.
