A large number of devotees thronged the Shiva temples in Kuchaykot block of Gopalganj district on the last Monday of Sawan. From Monday morning, male and female devotees arrived at the temples to offer water to Lord Bholenath and perform rituals. The atmosphere in the Shiva temples was filled with devotion, echoing with chants of 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Bol Bam'.

The Ram Janaki Shiv-Parvati Temple located in Baghauch Bazar village of Kuchaykot block also saw a continuous stream of devotees from early morning. Devotees from far-flung villages offered belpatra, flowers, datura, and other puja materials to Lord Shiva, making wishes. Special enthusiasm was observed among devotees for the last Monday of Sawan. Hari Prakash Srivastava, the temple priest and patron, stated that the puja rituals began around 4 AM. He mentioned that a large number of devotees were expected on the last Monday of Sawan, and indeed, there was a steady flow of worshippers in the temple premises from morning. Devotees were peacefully performing worship and jalabhishek to Lord Shiva.

Female devotees Shell Devi, Shobha Devi, Gayatri Devi, Sanju Devi, and Manju Devi, who came for worship, shared that the last Monday of Sawan holds special significance for them. All the women were observing fasts and worshipping Lord Shiva. They believed that worshipping Lord Bholenath and observing a fast on Mondays during Sawan fulfills wishes. Other Shiva temples in the area also witnessed large crowds of devotees from morning on the last Monday of Sawan. Many devotees offered water to Lord Shiva, praying for the peace, prosperity, and healthy life of their families. A religious and devotional atmosphere prevailed throughout the region all day.
