A tragic incident has been reported from Sitamarhi district, where a young man died after being hit by a goods train while crossing the railway line. The incident occurred on Saturday night near Sitamarhi railway station. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Santosh Kumar, a resident of Madhuban village under Bathnaha police station in the district.

According to eyewitnesses, Santosh Kumar was attempting to cross the railway line late at night when he was struck by a fast-moving goods train. The collision was so severe that Santosh died on the spot. Upon receiving information about the incident, local residents and railway police arrived at the scene. The police took possession of the body and sent it to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Santosh is survived by his wife and a 2-year-old son. The family is devastated by the incident, with family members inconsolable. Relatives stated that Santosh supported his family through labor work. His untimely death has brought immense sorrow upon the family.

Railway police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Police questioned local residents to ascertain the causes of the incident.
