A team from the Disaster Management Department and the District Administration conducted an inspection of the embankments located at Panchmandira Ghat and Shiwala Ghat in Darauli block of Siwan district on Saturday. Officials meticulously assessed the condition of both embankments and gathered information on sensitive areas.

During the inspection, officials from the Disaster Management Department stated that both embankments at Panchmandira Ghat and Shiwala Ghat are currently completely safe and robust. The condition of the embankments was found to be satisfactory. Officials instructed concerned personnel to maintain continuous vigilance on the embankments and report any issues immediately.

Authorities emphasized that special vigilance is being maintained regarding the security of the embankments in view of the monsoon season. The administration is fully prepared to tackle any challenges arising from a potential increase in water levels. During the inspection, officials also stressed the importance of regular local monitoring of the embankments, urging immediate reporting to concerned authorities if any changes in water level or embankment condition are observed.

Those present during the inspection included ADM Disaster Istiaq Ansari, Assistant Disaster Management Officer Shabnam Nazneen, SDO Flood Management, CO Vidya Bhushan Kumar Bharti, Station House Officer Abhinav Kumar Dubey, along with other officials and personnel from the Disaster Management Department and the District Administration.
