On Thursday, development camps were organized in the Scheduled Caste localities of Basfor Tola, Dusadh Tola, and Purab Tola in Siwan's Goreyakothi block, as part of the Guru Sant Ravidas Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti. District Magistrate Vijay Prakash Meena attended the event, commencing it by offering flowers to the portrait of Sant Ravidas and lighting a lamp.

In his address, the DM reiterated Sant Ravidas's famous message, "Man changa to kathauti mein Ganga" (If the mind is pure, then the Ganga is in the tub). He emphasized that if one's mind is clean and pure, there is no need to travel far in search of sanctity. He stated that a person's thoughts and actions constitute their true identity. The DM highlighted that Sant Ravidas propagated messages of equality, brotherhood, and social harmony, and his teachings remain relevant today. He stressed the importance of bringing all sections of society together to advance towards development.

DM Meena further stated that ensuring the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society, along with social harmony, is an administrative priority. These development camps under the Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan are organized with this objective. Villagers were informed about various government schemes, including ration cards, school admissions, Anganwadi services, birth-death certificates, Aadhaar enrollment, Kushal Yuva Program, skill development, e-Shram cards, Ayushman Bharat cards, health services, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, land ownership documents, social security schemes, Buniyad Kendra, VB-G-Ramji Yojana, and Har Ghar Nal-Jal Yojana.

The District Magistrate urged eligible individuals who had not yet received scheme benefits to apply at the camp. He also inquired about the problems villagers faced in availing these schemes. He issued necessary instructions to concerned officials for resolving complaints and ensuring prompt action on received applications in accordance with regulations.
