In a tragic incident in Rohra Kala village, Barharia police station area of Siwan district, Bihar, a 75-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a violent altercation between neighbors on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Rama Nandan Prasad, son of late Garib Bhagat. His 44-year-old daughter-in-law, Baby Devi, and her 25-year-old son, Kishan Kumar, were also injured in the attack. Baby Devi, in critical condition, has been referred to Siwan Sadar Hospital, while Kishan Kumar received primary treatment at Barharia Community Health Center.

According to Kishan Kumar, his grandfather was having tea outside their home and his mother was cooking when the incident occurred. Hearing a commotion, he rushed out to find his grandfather bleeding profusely. Upon hearing his mother's screams from inside, he found neighbors attacking her with a knife. While attempting to save his mother, Kishan sustained a knife injury to his hand.

Locals apprehended two of the attackers and informed the police. Barharia SHO Chhotan Kumar stated that police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. An FSL team was also called to collect evidence. The village remains tense, and a police contingent has been deployed to maintain order.

Both accused individuals have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. An FIR is being registered based on Kishan Kumar's statement. The SHO mentioned that the exact motive behind the attack is still unclear, and police are investigating all angles to ascertain the full facts of the case.
