A tragic road accident occurred on Monday evening on NH-327E in the Pipra police station area of Supaul district. A speeding bus collided with a motorcycle near the Pathra Road Plant, resulting in the spot death of a newlywed youth. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Parvez, a resident of Sihpur in the Singheshwar police station area of Madhepura district. He was traveling with his relative Suveda Khatoon and her 10-year-old son, Mohammad Aliser, to his in-laws' house in Chain Singh Patti.

Eyewitnesses reported that the collision was so severe that the motorcycle got trapped under the bus and was dragged for about 50 meters on the road. Local residents struggled to extricate the bike and its occupants. Suveda Khatoon and Mohammad Aliser sustained serious injuries and were admitted to Sadar Hospital Supaul with the help of locals, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Family members stated that Parvez had married Jamjam Khatoon, a resident of Chain Singh Patti, on July 2nd this year. The news of the accident plunged the family into mourning. The bus driver fled the scene with the vehicle after the incident. Local residents informed the police approximately an hour later. Pipra SHO Kishore Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar arrived at the spot to inspect the accident site. Agitated family members initially refused to allow the body to be removed until late evening, leading to a brief tense situation, which the police managed to defuse, restoring traffic flow. The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and are taking further action to identify the absconding bus and its owner.
