In Sitamarhi district, under the Sursand police station area, unidentified thieves targeted the house of Ram Bhajan Sah in Ward No. 17, Maidan Tola of the Nagar Panchayat. The incident occurred late Monday night, where thieves stole approximately one lakh rupees worth of property, including 20,000 rupees in cash and gold ornaments.

The victim, Ram Bhajan Sah, filed a written complaint against unknown thieves at the Sursand police station on Tuesday. Station House Officer Lal Kishore Gupta has initiated an investigation after receiving the complaint and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.

This incident is part of a series of recent thefts in the area. Just one day prior to this, on Sunday night, thieves had simultaneously targeted 10 houses in Karuna village, stealing property worth over 20 lakh rupees. The continuous occurrences of such thefts in the region have caused significant concern and fear among local residents. People are demanding increased police patrolling and enhanced security measures.
