In Teghra block of Begusarai, the program organized to mark 100 days of the Bihar government has drawn sharp criticism from public representatives and local residents. The government had instructed all block headquarters to conduct programs for widespread publicity and live broadcasting of its achievements, but it is alleged that these directives were not followed in Teghra.

Public representatives claim that the in-charge Block Development Officer (BDO) cum Block Panchayati Raj Officer, Sangeeta Kumari, organized the event in her office chamber instead of the auditorium. Only two public representatives and a few staff members were present, leading to accusations that it was merely a formality. According to Bihar Chief Secretary's letter no. 1360, dated July 23, 2026, instructions were given to ensure the participation of block-level officers, public representatives, intellectuals, women's groups, entrepreneurs, and other dignitaries in all block headquarters, which was allegedly violated in Teghra.

Panchayat Samiti members Jyoti Kumar, Anuj Kumar, Lalan Kumar, Bindu Devi, Savita Devi, and 20-point committee member Shyam Kishore 'Chhote' stated that they were not informed about the program. They accused the authorities of neglecting public representatives in this important government initiative and demanded an investigation into the matter and action against the concerned officer. Local residents expressed concern that due to limited attendance, information about the government's 100-day achievements and welfare schemes did not reach the common people.

In response, in-charge BDO Sangeeta Kumari clarified that she had sent information to everyone at her level. She also mentioned that the District Magistrate had instructed to conduct the program effectively, considering the 'Bihar Bandh' call.
