A grand Akhand Kirtan commenced on Monday in Thakur Sthan village, marked by a magnificent Kalash Yatra (pot procession). A large number of devotees participated with great enthusiasm, filling the village with a spiritual fervor.

The procession began at Brahmakund, where hundreds of women devotees collected sacred water. Dressed in traditional attire, these women carried the kalash (pots) on their heads, singing devotional songs and chanting as they walked through the village streets. The entire village resonated with hymns and religious slogans. The Kalash Yatra proceeded through the main roads of the village, culminating at the Thakur Sthan temple complex, where the kalashes were ceremoniously installed.

Organizing committee members stated that the Akhand Kirtan program will continue for several days, featuring continuous chanting and devotional singing day and night. The primary objective of this event is to pray for peace, happiness, and prosperity in the village. They urged all villagers to actively participate in this auspicious event and seek divine blessings.

Locals believe that such religious gatherings foster unity and harmony within the community. From children to the elderly, everyone is contributing to the success of this event. Adequate security arrangements were also made during the Kalash Yatra to ensure the convenience of the devotees. A community feast (bhandara) will be organized at the conclusion of the Akhand Kirtan, where all devotees can partake in the prasad (offering). This event has become a significant religious and social occasion for Thakur Sthan village.
