The subdivisional administration has taken a strict stance against the deteriorating conditions and gross negligence of healthcare workers at Tikari Subdivisional Hospital. SDM Praveen Kundan conducted a surprise inspection late Wednesday night, uncovering several serious irregularities. During the inspection, Dr. Jai Kishor Kumar, Dr. Poonam Kumari, and Dr. Satyendra Kumar, who were scheduled for duty according to the roster chart, were found absent without any prior information. Dr. Nikhil Kumar, assigned to emergency services, was also not present in the emergency room but was found relaxing in a room on the upper floor of the hospital.

The SDM also noted a severe lack of cleanliness throughout the hospital, especially in the maternity ward, where bedsheets were not provided for admitted patients. Furthermore, Janardan Prasad Rai, the accountant of the subdivisional hospital, and Chandan Kumar, the accountant of the PHC, had unauthorizedly occupied room number 55 of the hospital, converting it into their residence.

In response to these grave irregularities, the SDM has sought explanations within 48 hours from the hospital's deputy superintendent, health manager, the three absent doctors, the doctor found resting in a room, and both accountants. The subdivisional administration has made it clear that such negligence in health services will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
