A tragic incident has occurred in the Mohania block of Kaimur district, where a woman died after falling into a waterlogged paddy field. The incident took place within the Mohania police station area. It is reported that the woman was either working in the field or present there for some other reason when she suddenly fell face-first into the water-filled paddy field.

Upon seeing the woman unconscious in the field, locals immediately pulled her out and rushed her to a nearby hospital. Family members and locals had hoped she could be saved, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival. According to doctors, the cause of death was likely drowning and suffocation after falling into the water.

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area, with the deceased's family in deep mourning. The police were informed and arrived at the scene, taking the body into custody and sending it for post-mortem examination. Police stated that the exact cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem report is received. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of accidental death.
