In a significant operation, police in the Belaganj police station area of Gaya district seized 95 liters of দেশী Mahua liquor on Monday. The seizure occurred during a patrol near Diha Mod, where a minor was apprehended while transporting the illicit liquor on a motorcycle. The police have impounded the bike and initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.

Belaganj Station House Officer Sunil Kumar Dwivedi stated that the police team was conducting a routine patrol when they became suspicious of a minor riding a motorcycle near Diha Mod. Upon stopping and searching the individual, a large quantity of দেশী Mahua liquor was found on the bike. During preliminary questioning, the minor revealed that he was bringing the liquor from the Dalli Bigha area.

SHO Dwivedi further added that efforts are underway to identify the owner of the motorcycle used in the liquor smuggling. The police are also investigating the origin of the liquor and its intended destination, as well as the involvement of other individuals in the case. Legal action will be pursued once the investigation is complete.
