In a significant move to enhance the safety of female students and women, the 'Abhaya Brigade' patrol team has been launched in Chakai block of Jamui district. Following directives from Jamui Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Dayal, Chakai Station House Officer (SHO) Sarvajeet Kumar has deployed a special 'Police Didi' patrolling team, led by trainee Sub-Inspector Simmi Kumari.

SHO Sarvajeet Kumar stated that the 'Police Didi' team has been provided with scooters and bikes to strengthen women's safety. This team will be particularly active during the opening and closing hours of schools, colleges, and coaching centers. He emphasized that strict vigilance will be maintained over troublemakers and miscreants on routes frequented by female students. Any suspicious individuals will be immediately detained, brought to the police station, and legal action will be taken as per regulations.

Sub-Inspector Simmi Kumari explained that the primary objective of this initiative by the government and police administration is to instill a sense of security among women and provide them with a fear-free environment. The team will continuously inspect sensitive areas to ensure that female students can pursue their studies without fear and commute safely. Women are encouraged to fearlessly contact 'Police Didi' or the police station directly in case of any untoward incident or antisocial activity.
