Three individuals sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Jamui district. The incident occurred on the Lachhuar-Jamui main road, falling under the Malaypur police station area. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition and has been referred to Patna for advanced treatment after receiving initial care.

The accident took place on Wednesday evening when the three victims were returning home after a doctor's consultation. Their bike collided forcefully with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction on the Lachhuar-Jamui main road. The impact was severe, causing both riders and their passengers to fall onto the road, resulting in significant injuries.

Local residents quickly gathered at the scene and rushed the injured to Jamui Sadar Hospital. Doctors at the Sadar Hospital immediately provided first aid. However, due to the critical condition of one of the victims, they were promptly referred to PMCH (Patna Medical College Hospital) in Patna. The other two injured are currently undergoing treatment at Jamui Sadar Hospital.

Upon receiving information, Malaypur police reached the spot and seized the damaged motorcycles. Police stated that an investigation is underway, and further action will be taken after recording the statements of the injured. Such accidents are often attributed to a disregard for road safety rules and excessive speed. Local authorities have urged the public to exercise caution while driving and to mandatorily use helmets.
