In Jamui, on Sunday, the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) personally led a major cleanliness drive, wielding brooms and spades themselves. The campaign commenced at the Collectorate premises and extended to all government offices, block-circle offices, and police station compounds throughout the district.

Under the leadership of the DM and SP, officers and staff collectively participated in voluntary labor. Breaking from administrative protocol, officials joined hands with employees to clean the premises, which significantly boosted the morale of the staff. The primary objective of this campaign was not merely to clean office premises but to embed cleanliness as a regular work culture within government institutions. The district administration believes that a clean and organized office directly impacts work efficiency and provides a better environment for employees. Furthermore, a clean environment sends a positive message to the public visiting government offices for various tasks.

With this vision, the campaign was expanded to all block, circle, and police station premises across the district. During the drive, officials and staff worked together to remove accumulated waste, bushes, and dirt around the offices. Special emphasis was placed on collective voluntary labor to ensure that cleanliness becomes a shared responsibility rather than solely that of sanitation workers. The district administration has appealed to citizens, youth, and social organizations to join this campaign and spread awareness about cleanliness.
