A land dispute in Jamui district recently escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving eight people injured. The altercation reportedly began over the felling of a tree and the trimming of its branches, with both parties accusing each other of encroachment. According to reports, the dispute originated from one party attempting to cut a tree on a disputed piece of land, while the other claimed they were merely trimming branches overhanging their property. Women were also among the injured, all of whom have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

Local police were informed and promptly arrived at the scene to bring the situation under control. The injured have been transferred to Sadar Hospital, Jamui, where they are receiving medical care.
