अरवल जिले के कुर्था थाना क्षेत्र के सचई गांव में सोमवार को एक विवाहिता प्रीति कुमारी की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में मौत हो गई। मायके पक्ष ने ससुराल वालों पर दहेज के लिए हत्या करने और बिना सूचना दिए शव का अंतिम संस्कार कर देने का गंभीर आरोप लगाया है। इस संबंध में कुर्था थाना में प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई गई है।
मृतका प्रीति कुमारी की शादी 26 अप्रैल 2018 को सचई गांव निवासी रंजन मिश्रा के साथ हुई थी। प्रीति अपने पीछे दो बच्चे, 7 वर्षीय पुत्री परी और 3 वर्षीय पुत्र रुद्रांश, छोड़ गई है। मृतका के भाई दिलीप कुमार मिश्रा, जो जमुई जिले के सिकंदरा थाना क्षेत्र के लोहांडा के रहने वाले हैं, ने बताया कि 14 अगस्त 2026 को उनकी बहन से आखिरी बार बात हुई थी। उस समय प्रीति ने ससुराल पक्ष द्वारा 2 लाख रुपये दहेज की मांग और लगातार मारपीट की जानकारी दी थी। दिलीप ने यह भी बताया कि 20 अगस्त को प्रीति के खाते में 20 हजार रुपये भेजे गए थे।
परिजनों के अनुसार, सोमवार सुबह करीब 6-7 बजे प्रीति के ससुर गिरीश मिश्रा का फोन आया, जिसमें उन्होंने प्रीति की मौत हार्ट अटैक से होने की बात कही। सूचना मिलते ही मायके वालों ने शव को सुरक्षित रखने की अपील की, लेकिन जब वे सचई गांव पहुंचे, तो उन्हें पता चला कि शव का अंतिम संस्कार पहले ही कर दिया गया था। इस घटना के बाद मायके पक्ष में गहरा आक्रोश है। परिजनों का आरोप है कि यह एक सुनियोजित हत्या है और साक्ष्य मिटाने के उद्देश्य से जल्दबाजी में अंतिम संस्कार किया गया है। कुर्था थाना प्रभारी चंदन कुमार झा ने बताया कि मामले में आवेदन प्राप्त हुआ है और सभी पहलुओं पर गंभीरता से जांच की जा रही है। उन्होंने दोषियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिया है।

Her brother, Dilip Kumar Mishra, a resident of Lohanda in Sikandra police station area of Jamui district, stated that he last spoke to his sister on August 14, 2026. During that conversation, Preeti informed him about her in-laws demanding Rs 2 lakh in dowry and subjected her to continuous physical abuse. Dilip also mentioned that Rs 20,000 was transferred to Preeti's account on August 20.
According to her family, on Monday morning around 6-7 AM, Preeti's father-in-law, Girish Mishra, called to inform them that Preeti had died of a heart attack. Upon receiving the news, the paternal family requested that the body be kept safe, but when they arrived at Sachai village, they learned from locals that the cremation had already taken place. This incident has sparked deep anger among Preeti's family. They allege that it was a pre-planned murder and the cremation was rushed to destroy evidence. Kurtha Police Station इंचार्ज, Chandan Kumar Jha, confirmed that an application has been received, and all aspects are being thoroughly investigated. He assured strict action against the culprits.
