A significant breakthrough has been made in the case of a school student being attacked with a blade in the Baruraj police station area of Muzaffarpur district. The arrested main accused revealed that he orchestrated the attack out of revenge, hiring assailants for Rs 5,000. Police investigation revealed that the student's former boyfriend, Sanjeet Kumar, planned the attack after being upset about a prior assault on him.

Sanjeet, a resident of Kamalpur and a 12th-grade pass-out, confessed to the police that he had been in a long-term relationship with a girl from his village. One day, the girl's uncle and brother saw them together, became enraged, and beat Sanjeet, also snatching the girl's mobile phone. Following this incident, communication between Sanjeet and the girl ceased, leading to Sanjeet's resentment and a desire for revenge.

Driven by this desire, Sanjeet offered Rs 5,000 to his friend, Chandan, to attack his ex-girlfriend. According to the police, Chandan then hired another individual to carry out the blade attack on the student. SDPO West Suchitra Kumari stated that the accused orchestrated the incident due to resentment over a love affair.

Police have arrested Sanjeet Kumar, the mastermind of the plot, and sent him to judicial custody. Authorities are now actively searching for Sanjeet's friend Chandan and the individual who carried out the physical attack. Raids are being conducted at potential hideouts to apprehend both absconding accused.
