A significant agricultural initiative was launched in Wazirganj block of Gaya district on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha visited Wazirganj to inaugurate the Digital Crop Survey (DCS) under the AgriStack scheme. A large number of local farmers and villagers attended the event.

The Digital Crop Survey aims to create digital records of crops grown in fields. This will provide the government with accurate information on which crops are cultivated in what area. Farmers hope that this digital record will ensure that the benefits of agricultural schemes reach deserving farmers with greater transparency.

During the program, farmers from Wazirganj also put forth a crucial demand to the Agriculture Minister. They submitted a memorandum requesting the construction of a Biscomaun building in Wazirganj. Farmers highlighted that a large number of them depend on agriculture in the Wazirganj region, but face difficulties in accessing essential agricultural inputs like fertilizers and seeds. A Biscomaun building would provide easy access to necessary agricultural materials at the local level. The farmers urged the Minister to seriously consider their demand and initiate steps for the Biscomaun building's construction soon.

Prominent personalities present included social worker and former मुखिया Parasnath Singh, social worker Pintoo Singh, senior BJP leader Vinay Singh, Block President Satish Sinha, Surendra Singh, Ramsanehi Singh, Niwas Singh, Arvind Singh, and Sanjay Singh, along with many other villagers and farmers. The launch of the Digital Crop Survey and the farmers' demand for a Biscomaun building made this event significant for the local farming community. All eyes are now on the Agriculture Minister and the government's next steps.
